Is it time to retire our old mascot?

The original logo of We Start Gardens can from the creative minds of two individuals.


Patrick Noon, formally trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, is a co-founder of We Start Gardens. Patrick and Derek Bryant, the other co-founder, both enjoyed the famous anime series "Samurai Champloo". In the series, three unlikely strangers travel to find the illusive sunflower samurai.


Their mutual friend, DreamWorks artist and two-time award Annie Award winner, Rob Koo, graciously created his version of the Sunflower Samurai to represent We Start Gardens as their mascot and logo.


The mascot holds a scallion sword and strawberry helmet as he fights for food justice for all living beings!
